Why Use

You have decided to retire your glasses and use only contact lenses. Congratulations on your choice. Solótica will be pleased to help you. We have the market’s most complete and functional line of contact lenses.

This process of change always starts with a visit to the ophthalmologist. Only a specialist is able to determine the most indicated lenses for your case. In addition, this professional will do the follow up during the lenses adaptation process.

And the choice depends on several factors. Basically, there are three types of contact lenses: rigid, soft and yearly soft lenses. Each one of them has advantages and disadvantages that you need to take into consideration before choosing.

The rigid lenses are indicated for all prescription needs. They have better optical quality and cheap maintenance, are affordable and very durable. However, not all users get easily adapted to this kind of lens. And the option for these people is the soft lens.

The disposable soft contact lenses have the advantage of being extremely practical and comfortable. The 30-day exchange period benefits its safety, especially against contamination. Furthermore, it is easy to clean and handle, being ideal for those who do not have time to waste.

The disadvantage is that it is a bit more expensive to maintain. For users concerned with cost-benefit, the yearly soft lenses are an excellent option, combining the comfort of the soft lenses (comfortable and easy to handle), with the durability and the low maintenance cost found in the rigid type. However, it does not meet all prescription needs.

Regardless of the type of contact lenses you choose, be careful with the adaptation. Some users immediately adapt to the lenses. Others don’t. Feeling a certain discomfort during 10 or 15 minutes is considered normal. However, if it persists, remove the lenses and consult your specialist.
