Before touching the lenses always wash your hands very well.
Use the index-finger when taking the lenses out from the case. And make sure the lenses are clean and wet, have no defects or rupture.
Soft lenses may invert during the handling. Before inserting them check if they are not inside out. In case the edges are turned out, the lenses are inverted. So put it in your hands and turn to the correct side. The correct position is with concave lens, with the edges turned up.
To position the lens on the eye, first put it on the tip of the middle finger of the same hand. Pull the lower eyelid and push the lens slightly down.
Then lift the upper eyelid with the middle finger of your other hand. Position the lens on the eye and gently loosen the eyelids and wink. Repeat the previous steps with the other lens.
Tip: If you feel the need of wetting the lenses again, apply one or two drops of Refreshing Aqua Lens from Solótica on each eye, and wink several times. In case the irritation persists or you have to wet the lenses again, see the ophthalmologist.
To clean the contact lens is essential not only to lengthen the useful life of it, but to keep your eye in perfect conditions. This procedure leaves the lens free of bacteria, microorganisms, mucus and other impurities. And this should be done before placing the lenses and always when it is removed from the eyes. Put the right lens on the right hand and apply some cleaning drops of Aqua Lens Multiaction Plus from Solótica.
With the index-finger of the other hand, friction the lens in both sides, with delicate movements forward and back, to the left and to the right.
Rinse the lens with Aqua Lens Multiaction Plus again, until it is free of residues.
Repeat the procedure with the left lens.
Tip: The lenses should be kept in appropriate case, always closed, during the whole period they are not in use. And they should be immersed into Aqua Lens Multiaction Plus cleaning solution from Solotica. Do not forget to rinse the lens every time you use it and to also discard the cleaning solution which remains in the case. Always remember: soft lenses should not be cleaned through thermal disinfection methods.
For the best performance of your lenses as possible, it is important that you follow the instructions below:
Wash hands very well before handling the lenses.
Establish a sequence: first clean the right-hand lens, than the left.
Take the lenses out of the case, one at a time, hold it between the index, medium and the thumb fingers, and apply a few drops of Limpi-Sol cleaning solution on the lens surface. Rub in circular way.
Important : Do not use Limpi-Sol on hybrid or soft lenses.
The minimum time recommended for friction is 30 seconds.
Rinse the lens with multiaction solution until completely removing the cleaning solution.
Place the wet lens on the eye.
Moisten the tip of the fingers each time you pick the lenses up. This will make the handling easier.
Use cleaning solution for gas permeable lens only.
Use new solutions only, do not reuse them.
Daily change the solution from the lenses case.
Do not use saliva, tap water, homemade saline solutions, or any other substance besides the specially indicated for your type of lens.
Never rub the eyes when using lenses.
Do not use chemical products, such as alcohol, ether or detergents on your lenses. They may cause irreversible damages to them.
The case of the lenses should be regularly replaced.
Daily wash the case in current water, and let it dry apart.
DURASIL gas permeable lenses should be kept in preservative solution when not being used.
Do not try to fold the lenses, they may break.
If lenses fall on the floor they should be suspended with moistened fingers and never dragged.
Unsuitable cases for the lenses can provoke irreversible damages to the same.
The specialist should define the correct usage time for you.
Rinse the lenses every time you are going to use them.
Do not wear lenses to swim without your specialist guidance.
When with lenses, always close the eyes when applying aerosol products, such as hair fixings.
Never use thermal disinfection methods for gas permeable rigid lenses. Your specialist should indicate the proper product.
Lenses should be cleaned and disinfected every time they are taken out.
Cleaning is required to remove impurities from the lens surface. Disinfection is needed to eliminate microorganisms. One procedure does not replace the other.
